Cable Minutes - June 2019 - and this link to corresponding Agenda

Previous meeting

  1. Report on actionable items from last meeting not covered/linked in the circulated agenda 
User guide requires significant revision. 

Especially discussed was around file input/ancillaries used.

Add citations to User Guide (to the 5.1 section) - **Martin De Kauwe** to look at this

Documentation will require (strongly suspected anyway) revision for inclusion in MOSRS. Thus, not urgent, however we are aiming for October. See below, JaC update.

Ticketing system and development guidelines needs to be reviewed and documented. - **Jhan**

Not urgent. A better understanding of the JULES Ticketing system will help facilitate this.

Tagged versions needs to be documented - **Jhan**

This is still required.

Rachel concluded that we are most likely to be considered very low risk in terms of privacy issues and data collection. A slight re-wording of the existing declaration on the CABLE user registration form may be required.

  1. Gab to update on benchmarking progress.

Gab demonstrated impressive prototype. The system is not live yet, however it is anticipated that by the time of our CABLE meeting scheduled for the final quarter 0f 2019 it will be and Gab will organize a training workshop.

  1. JaC update.

MOSRS, JULES, Ticket 900 is included in the trunk and will be included in the latest release of JULES 5.5 later in June. We are aiming to upload the CABLE (physics) model with version 5.6 in October.

  1. Jhan will be visiting the UKMO in June to discuss JaC. Please dicuss the committee's desired position/agenda to be put forward here?

No additional issues raised.

5. ACCESS-CM2 paper. Version name by which to refer to CABLE?

Ian has drafted reply to Dave with suggestions/comments. CABLE-2.5 is the prefered versionname to use. However, names by which different configurations should be known have not yet been finalized. These will be considered as Ian drafts the CABLE CMIP6 paper.

No tickets were discussed. There will be tickets to discuss at next meeting.
