First meeting for 2021

Danny has left CMS completely leaving.

Claire is taking up Danny's duties WRT to JAC

Annette Hirch is assuming Claire's role in the LIS/WRF, CABLE application

Discussion

1. Jhan, Claire & Ian to update us on JaC progress

   • #250 - first 11 comments document transition between CABLE-2 CABLE-3 - beyond this comments document this same transition but WRT MPI(GSWP2) application - In summary, the ~15K cells (and subsequent combination of patches, soils etc) presented by GSWP2 highlighted issues not previously observed in testing at PLUMBER
     like single sites. - significant consequence of this is to abandon triggering of zenith angle to define sunlit regions - finalised version expected within the week

     • Claire to work on bringing LAI and canopy height from JULES implementation into CABLE parameter file

2. Gab & Martin to update us on Benchmarking progress

• Danny has left CMS completely leaving this benchmarking progress open for comment next month

3. Claire to update management of CABLE related data?

• Done - Paula to undertake

4. Hackathon WAS flagged for March ere to strict guideline(s) e.g. they use common initialisation routines

• Postponed to follow update of trunk with CABLE-3
