CABLE registration

CABLE is distributed under the attached open source license (also available in each directory of the CABLE source code).

CABLE registration is required

  • to access the CABLE svn code repository, hosted at NCI.
  • This is the best location for all offline CABLE users to access up to date CABLE code.
  • This is the required location for CABLE code developers to work, so that code changes can be accepted into the CABLE trunk.
  • to browse the CABLE source through the CABLE trac pages
  • to edit CABLE trac pages
  • to initiate and add to CABLE tickets for tracking CABLE development and for reporting bugs
  • to contribute to the CABLE community and keep up to date with CABLE news.
  • All registered users are subscribed to the CABLE email list.

CABLE registration is not required if you are using CABLE as part of another model or platform, such as ACCESS or LIS, and, if any CABLE code changes are required these are for your local implementation only and are unlikely to be useful to the wider CABLE community.

To register for CABLE:

  1. Complete the [attachment:Registration_Form_CABLE_repository.doc CABLE registration form] and email it to [email protected]
  2. If you already have an NCI account, type in your credentials at the NCI login page. Choose the 'Projects' page from the left-side menu and type 'cable' into the search box at the bottom of page. When a list of CABLE projects showed up, choose 'cable: CABLE group for access to the SVN Repository' and request to 'join' the project.
  3. If you do not have an NCI account already, click the 'Sign up here' button in the NCI login page. Follow through with the registration process and request to join the 'cable' project as described above. In case your institution has not dealt with NCI before, you might get an error message of "unrecognized email domain" or something similar. If that is the case, just state the problem in your email to [email protected]. We will sort it out and inform you to try again.
