CABLE committee members

Co-chairs

  • Jhan Srbinovsky. Jhan is employed at CSIRO O&A, Aspendale in the CABLE group. His scientific background is in cosmological modelling. However he uses those skills currently to progress the technical development of CABLE in ACCESS. Jhan has been the co-chair of the CABLE committee since 2017.

  • Martin De Kauwe. Martin is researcher at the Climate Change Research Centre at UNSW. He is broadly interested in vegetation responses to global change. Martin has been the co-chair of the CABLE committee since 2018.

Committee members

  • Gab Abramowitz Gab is researcher and lecturer at the Climate Change Research Centre at UNSW and an Associate Investigator with the Centre of Excellence for Climate System Science. His interests are in model evaluation techniques, benchmarking and uncertainty estimation. Gab also maintains the Protocol for the Analysis of Land Surface models #PALS# web application.

  • Ian Harman

  • Rachel Law (ACCESS Group Leader). Rachel is from CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere (O&A) Business Unit, based in Aspendale. Her research interests are in carbon-climate feedbacks and interpreting the atmospheric records of CO2. Rachel was previously the co-ordinator of the CABLE committee and helped CABLE as a community model.

  • Daniel Eisenberg

  • Ying-Ping Wang(Land Surface Modeling Team Leader]. He is chief research scientist in CSIRO, and developed the two-leaf canopy scheme and biogeochemical model (CASA-CNP) for CABLE. His research interests are global change ecology, land surface processes, carbon-climate feedback, terrestrial biogeochemistry and model-data fusion.
