Geometrics MagArrow data post processing

Alexey Dobrovolskiy edited this page Nov 21, 2021 · 5 revisions

Injection of precise coordinates into Geometrics MagArrow data consists of just 2 steps:

  • Export of MagArrow data into CSV (raw data output) format

  • Inject precise coordinates from POS (position solution) file or UgCS SkyHub position log

Below are all steps with screenshots

We will use this dataset - https://files.ugcs.com/s/FCLXJ9HbmicgXBm

  1. Export MagArrow data into CSV files

  2. Start UgCS Geotagger

  3. Drag & drop CSV files with mag data into the "Files to update" section

  4. Drag & drop your POS or SkyHub position.csv files into the "Position Solution Files" section

You don't need to care about the mapping between position information files and data files - UgCS Geotagger will find a correlation, but you need to check that every data file is "Partially covered" at least.

  1. Click "Process files". All your data files will be processed one by one, after each file you will see a message box with the number of updated records

  1. Check the directory with your mag data, for every processed file you will see the file with "-precise" in the file name

  1. Enjoy the difference. Yellow track - original files, red - with refined coordinates
