v4.1.0 is a stop-gap to release a couple of needed features in 2020 while we continue stabilizing the run-time for the 5.0 release. It is a short timeline release cycle that will branch from 4.0.x instead of from master.

OFI MultiNic support (and all OFI features in master since v4.0.x branch) (AWS)
Collectives tuning performance (and all collectives features in master since v4.0.x branch) (AWS)
ADAPT collectives (off by default) (UTK)
UCX patches from master (Mellanox)
