How to place base stations

The placement of the base stations affects the tracking quality of the system. Generally the base stations should be high up and on the opposite corners of the VR play space. Make sure that each tracker on the rowing machine can be seen by at least one base station at any given point to reduce the chance of tracking failure. Extra base stations focused on certain trackers can be used to improve the tracking quality.

Setting up the rowing machine

Place the RP3 in the middle of your play space, it is recommended to have the machine side facing the computers so the connecting cable doesn't tangle.

20240206_153345_HDR To set up the rowing machine to be used with this platform, 3 trackers need to be affixed to it. These trackers are on the seat, the handle and the flywheel.

For the seat use the small plank, zip ties and electrical tape to attach the tracker to the seat, such that it is next to the seat. 20240206_153530

For the handle use the strap to wrap it around the centre of the handle. 20240206_153509
