Coupled model configurations (GEOS MOM6)

Following configurations are available when you set up an experiment.

Note:

• Atmospheric vertical resolution has to be chosen when setting up your experiment, default is 72.
• Ocean vertical resolution defaults are listed ⬆️. Though they cannot be chosen while setting up experiment, they can be changed easily after the experiment has been set up.
• Sea ice runs on the same tripole grid as the ocean model.

For all the ⬆️ configurations, restarts can be found at: /discover/nobackup/sakella/restarts/GEOS_AOGCM-Nov2023:

These contain restarts for the atmosphere and sea ice, ocean is being defaulted to start from climatology files (in /discover/nobackup/projects/gmao/bcs_shared/make_bcs_inputs) so you don't have to do anything!
