Base Solution Template for Azure Marketplace

This is intended to be a base Solution Template for publishing into the Azure Marketplace. A Solution Template is basicaly an ARM Template that adheres to a number of requirements and best practices specific to Marketplace deployments.

What is inside

• createUiDefinition.json is where the UI is defined for your Solution Template blade in the Azure Management Portal.
• mainTemplate.json is the main ARM template for the Solution; it calls a number of sub-templates to implement the "newOrExisting" pattern for a number of resources.

What it does

• handles new or existing Storage Accounts
• handles new or existing Virtual Networks
• handles new or existing Public IP Addresses and Domain Name
• returns the fully qualified domain name of the deployment
• handles both password and SSH key authentication mechanisms

How to test

Use your browser's Developer Tools to monitor the JavaScript Console and retrieve the JSON that describes the parameters chosen in the Web UI blade. Copy/paste this JSON in the mainTemplate.parameters.json and deploy the main template using your favorite method (portal, PowerShell, CLI).
