Planning a trip to the Boundary Waters can be a daunting task, even for the experienced. Obstacles include knowing entry points, distances and times of portaging and canoeing trails, and locations of designated camping sites. Add in the challenges of collaborating with friends, gaining permits and registration, knowing the recommended gear, and obtaining the latest water quality and forecast, the planning may take longer than the trip.
Ambitor is the solution to all these problems, making the beauty of the Boundary Waters more accessible. Ambitor is a web application that allows users to plan their trip to the Boundary Waters, by putting an interactive map in front of them. The map will display important data points such as entry points, camp sites, and points of interest, and show the portage and canoe trails. The interactivity of the map gives users the ability to point and click their way to a trip.
