# Wolverine

## About
Wolverine was a GUI-based off-line mail reader for FidoNet-style networks that I developed back in 1996. It's compatible with [BlueWave](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Wave) and very similar in functionality, albeit with a modern-looking GUI interface. It supports BlueWave & [QWK](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QWK_(file_format)) formats. It hasn't been developed since 1997, I think, but I'm providing the source code to provide insight on app development practices back in the 90's.

It uses [FatalVision](https://github.com/ssg/fatalvision) GUI library which also I was one of the two developers of.

To see how it works you can try out [a working version on DosBox](https://github.com/ssg/wolverine/releases)
