iBiblia v1.0.0.68b - No UPX
This release is identical to v1.0.0.68, but with no compression applied to the iBiblia.exe
file. I received reports of anti-viruses complaining about viruses in this file, and this may solve the problem. I appreciate any feedback on this matter.
iBiblia v1.0.0.68
iBiblia v1.0.0.68
This release fixes the error 'iBiblia found an error exporting the Bible module file', which was introduced in v1.0.0.67. The error occurs when exporting the project to a new Bible module instead of overwriting an existing one.
iBiblia v1.0.0.67
iBiblia v1.0.0.67
This release include the following changes/fixes.
Print chapter feature
Added the option to print a chapter using the context menu of the chapter view.
Reject incompatible dictionaries
iBiblia now checks if a dictionary is compatible before accepting it in the configuration. Encrypted, compressed or non-RTF dictionaries are not supported.
Select exported module in file explorer
iBiblia now selects the newly-exported file in the explorer window it opens once the export is finished. Works only on Windows.
Better handling of font sizes
- All raw editors now support font resize with Ctrl + mouse wheel;
- Verse raw editor font size now fully synchronized with verse's font size. It inherits it on show and propagates it on hide;
- Verse raw editor's font size now partially synchronized with chapter view font size. It inherits it on show but does not propagate it on hide;
- Verse font size is now always saved.
Sync'ing strongs/morph on auto-select
Auto-select next unassociated syntagm (which happens on right-click) now triggers synchronization events with theWord. This means that theWord dictionaries will synchronize to next Strong/Morph automatically.
New context menu for bible tree
This new popup menu gives the option to set the association status for a whole book or chapter.
Export Bible module now can overwrite modules open in theWord
This is the default behavior on text editors like Notepad++, SublimeText, etc. The user has to force a reload of the Bible module in theWord using the shortcut Ctr+Shift+R.
Fixed a bug in which iBiblia couldn't open a project anymore
If a project was closed positioned at the last verse, iBiblia wouldn't open any longer. This was because in this specific situation book and chapter identifiers wouldn't be initialized correctly and end up zeroed.
iBiblia v1.0.0.66
iBiblia v1.0.0.66
This release includes the following changes:
Chapter view
True interlinear mode
Added support for a true interlinear mode in chapter view. The user can choose between the old INTRAlinear mode (the one supported by theWord) and the new INTERlinear mode from the context menu.
Better verse rules support for interlinear tab
The user can create independent verse rules for each interlinear layout and also have the option to disable rules and to choose if a rule is to be applied at view time only or at the export time.
Added code to detect verse rule errors, giving the user a chance to fix them.
Support for double click in chapter view, just like the verse edits, displaying the raw text in the export format.
This is very useful in creating verse rules for the interlinear view, because it is possible to see their effect. Also, it is possible to copy-and-paste the raw text to an external editor with good regex support.
Project creation/change
Support for partial modules
Now it is possible to import partial modules, for instance, import an .nt or a .ot module into a whole-Bible project.
Added warning about importing non-UTF8 modules
iBiblia does not support non-UTF8 modules, so there's a good chance they would result in crashes and encoding errors.
New verse rules dialog
Using a grid instead of the old checkboxes.
Added option to vacuum project
There are some operations that can increase the size of a project disproportionally, such as applying patches and loading new texts. Now there is a new option to vacuum the project.
Patch creation/applying
Improvement in loading/creation times of big patches.
Patch creation/applying windows should load much faster now when dealing with big patches.
Patch apply now ignores unchanged verses
When a patch is loaded iBiblia now first compares its content with the current project and discards unmodified verses, thus making clear what changes will be actually applied.
Added visual indication of what parts of the verse are different on the patch.
Added labels to the bottom left of the windows indicating differences in red.
Language support
Initial support for right-to-left languages
Added right-to-left option to the verse context menu. The option is not persisted yet, so the user needs to set it every time a project is open. This is because the support is still rudimentary, with no suppport for mixed ltr/rtl text.
Automatic system language detection on first execution
The language still can be configured in the Options->Language menu.
iBiblia now detects new instances of theWord using a different language
The synchronization now works OK if the user opens a new theWord instance with a different language without having to restart iBiblia. The user still would have to restart theWord, because it does not persist the change to the config file right away, but only does it when closed.
Other enhancements
Ignoring associated punctuation in concordances and non-interlinear modules
This only makes sense for interlinears.
Slightly better verse rendering times.
Monospaced font on verse edit
Using a fixed-size font for the verse edit, instead of using the current verse font, which made little sense most of the time.
iBiblia now opens the containing folder explorer window after exporting a module.
This clears the confusion as to where the exported module was saved to.
Support for <X>
, <G>
and <H>
tags in chapter view
These are custom MySword interlinear tags.
Fixes
Fixed output for special cases of associated italic words
When the last associated word of a group was an italic word, the closing tag ended up after the Strong's/morphology tags.
Immediate theWord -> iBiblia syncronization
When the option "Sync theWord to iBiblia's verse" was enabled, the synchronization would happen only after the next verse change. Now it happens immediately, as one would expect.
Verses are now read-only on the Apply Patch window
Before it was possible to select and change verses, even though this wouldn't be of any effect.
Verse rules with comments were not recognized in module importation.
This is handled correctly by iBiblia now.
iBiblia v1.0.0.65
This release includes the following changes:
1. Support for verse rules in the interlinear tab of the chapter view
With this is possible to get rid of parts of the source text that would be undesirable in the interlinear view, for instance when your source text already is an interlinear. It is also possible to change the formattting, like change colors, font sizes, etc.
The option is acessible from the context menu. Verse rules are, in essence, a way do find/replace using regexes on the raw module text. This is quite technical and will require some knowledge of the original theWord Bible module format.
2. Errors in the export to tagged destination text feature are now saved to a text file
Before this, iBiblia displayed an error message for every verse that had association errors, forcing the user to confirm every error if he wanted to finish the export. Now all errors are logged to a text file that is openned automatically at the end of the operation. Average users shouldn't deal with association errors, though, so most users won't notice this.
3. Punctuation allowed in association
Now it is allowed to select and associate punctuation. This is useful particularly for interlinears where the lack of punctuation hinders the reading. Also there are cases in which an original word is translated as punctuation.
4. Supressing of definition popups during association
Now the definition popup pops up ony when the trigger key is pressed by itself. This means the popup won't show anymore during association, in which Shift or Ctrl+Shift is pressed.
5. Huge improvement on project creation/loading time
Project loading or creation is now under 2 seconds.
6. Editing with scrollbars on would cause a crash during verse edit (#79)
7. Words in red behaving differently from theWord in the chapter view (#77)
Formatting wasn't being reset after each verse, like theWord does.
8. Fixed localization of the chapter view strings
They were not being translated.
9. Starting a new project on the first verse
Before new projects started on the last verse.
10. Better handling of naming conflicts for new projects
iBiblia v1.0.0.64
This release includes the following changes:
- Auto-associated words are now saved (#3);
- New field in project properties to enter a short description for each text (#8);
- Blocking changes in a verse that introduce line breaks (#80);
- Better error messages for parsing errors in the chapter view;
- Fixed crash on resizing the main window after closing a project;
- Added mouse wheel zoom in/out for the verses;
- Closing a project without doing any changes no longer prompts for saving;
- Minor optimization in module import.
iBiblia v1.0.0.63
iBiblia v1.0.0.63
This release includes the following changes:
- Association with automatic selection (right-click association) didn't select words with morphology only;
- Some quirks on Hebrew concordance were fixed and now it works the same for Hebrew and Greek;
- Better handling of "ênclises" and "mesóclises" in concordance (Portuguese only);
- Multiple-word associations appeared in the order they were associated in Translation Memory and concordances. This is now fixed and the association order doesn't matter anymore (#1);
- Included support for association of italic words. They are now correctly italicized in interlinear but ignored in concordance. Warning: Enriched destination module will require a custom verse rule to work in theWord;
- New auto-save-on-verse-change option. Warning: when you activate this you lose most rollback features (#72);
- New patch feature that allows for easy sharing of work (and possibly makes iBibliaMergeTool obsolete). The user can select any set of books/chapters/verses, export a patch and share it. Another user can load the patch into iBiblia, preview it and choose to import all of it or any subset of it.
iBiblia v1.0.0.62
This release includes the following changes:
- Using default system font to render tags (toggled with F8);
- Fixed issue with label that did not get updated after disassociation;
- Added new middle-button context menu options for pasting Strong tags only and pasting morphology tags only;
- Enter key disabled in verse edit mode;
- Clicked word is now synchronized with theWord dictionaries (#70);
- Chapter view with tabs for all texts, plus an extra tab to preview generated interlinear text (#68);
- Chapter view translator notes displayed in popups, like theWord. Click to open popup, move the cursor over the note to keep it visible. To hide it, move the cursor out of the note;
- Chapter view header with links to all book chapters (just like theWord);
- Chapter view footer with links to previous chapter, beginning of the current chapter and next chapter (just like theWord);
- iBiblia now stores/restores the window status, if it is maximized or not, instead of using just the window dimensions;
- Avoiding spurious project save dialog that was shown even when project had not been modified;
- Fixed unnecessary space before hyphen on interlinear bible export.
