Setting up the Hardware

If the "Sipeed Tang Nano 20K FPGA Development Board RISCV Linux Retro Game Player" was purchased this is a short page to show how to properly breadboard the Tang Nano 20k with the Sipeed ps2 controller adapters that are included.

When connecting the Tang Nano 20k, ensure that the pins closest to the USB-C type connector are inserted into the row one pins on the breadboard. Additionally, connect the Sipeed PS2 controller adapters to the 15-20 rows on either side of the board.

Notes:

  • This orientation allows for the microSD card to be removed while still on the breadboard.
  • Pressing the S1 button on the Tang Nano 20k will take you to the main menu. It is unclear whether this button functions as a reset button or simply navigates back to the main menu (Please update this note).
  • If USB controllers are added this page may be renamed to a general hardware setup page.
