instead of AppImage/AppImageKit.

It's very unclear, but it looks like this version is more recent, and uses a static runtime that doesn't depend on libfuse2 being installed on the host machine.

I think we tried this before and had to revert it. I'm travelling right now so can't find the previous PR.

Ah, yes... I found the whole story here: #18830 (comment) and #18633 (comment). Too bad... Let's close this and reopen when TheAssassin/AppImageLauncher#585 gets resolved (if that ever happens at all and we still use AppImage by that time...)
