Hastily done as an exercise to learn FFmpeg API in December last year, but put aside because of different priorities. Things to do:

Clean this up
Commit properly
Update copyright headers for 2019 to 2023
Test using the files and expected output that we already have for other importers
Document the zoo of supported file formats
Set up the CIs for it

What about video?
