Started a trial today and loving it for the most part.

Based on other issues (because I can’t find documentation for this), my understanding is that the share link is supposed to be accessible to folks even if they don’t have a miniflux account.

Right now, with #1254 the share button is pretty confusing. Opens a link with no share interface. But even if you copy the link and share it via paste, it requires auth?

Am I misunderstanding this feature? Thanks.

You have to use the public URL of the entry. In your case, it's https://reader.miniflux.app/share/2feb25a5a494d5d6d419e648f80d76eae3979cf7

A public URL is generated when you click on the "Share" button. You can see the list of shared entries in "history > shared articles".

Interesting. I can’t seem to get that link from the PWA, maybe due to #1254 ?

The problem mentioned in #1254 is there no way to see the public URL of the shared article when using the PWA in Standalone or Fullscreen mode because there is no toolbar or control visible in iOS.

I need to do some research to see what can be done here.

In the meantime, using the Minimal mode should work around this issue.

After removing the PWA, setting to minimal, then replacing the PWA; seems like minimal isn’t actually a workaround. I’m still seeing the issue 🙃

but it seems safe to say that this issue should be closed?
