pkgdown has a problem with KaTeX at the moment, so this is an alternative fix to that (see r-lib/pkgdown#2704)
Additionally, slightly improving documentation clarity, fixing some issues where old arguments like
Mhave survived in examples, and any other tiny bug fixes that show up.
