VolunteerNexus 2.0

Version 2.0.0 includes the following updates:

AttendanceAnywhere - Each volunteer is automatically issued a VolunteerNexus ID. This individualized QR code tag uniquely identifies a volunteer without revealing sensitive personal data. For larger opportunities, sponsors can set up AttendanceAnywhere scanners using the VolunteerNexus platform to process many engagements at once.

Tutoring - Sponsors can now set up long-term tutoring events, and volunteers can use a specialized interface to create pending engagements to record their tutoring services.

Public vs. Private Events - Sponsors are now able to adjust whether an event is available to all volunteers or only affiliated volunteers. This will enable sponsors to gain more visibility for specific events.

Opportunity Sign-Up Limit for Volunteers - Sponsors can now set a limit for the number of times an individual volunteer can sign up for an opportunity. If volunteers attempt to exceed this limit, they will be redirected to an explanation page.

Volunteer Contribution Breakdown By Time Period - Volunteers can see a contribution breakdown based on specific durations of time, such as the current semester, the current year, or all-time.

Comprehensive Overview of Affiliated Volunteers - Sponsors can sort and organize affiliated volunteers alphabetically based on last name or numerically based on contribution values. Contribution values are displayed for varying time durations, including semesters, years, and all-time.

Multiple Engagement Entry By Student ID - For sponsors needing to import large numbers of engagements for their affiliated volunteers, they can use this interface to create engagements for volunteers with corresponding student IDs. Any student IDs entered without matching volunteers are returned as errors.

Tabbed Sponsor Events View - Events created by a sponsor are automatically sorted into a variety of different tabs, including Upcoming, Ongoing, Completed, and All.

Search Capability - Sponsors are able to search their events, pending engagements, and affiliated volunteers using a convenient search bar.

Email Reminders!

This release incorporates email reminders for opportunities. These reminders are sent to Volunteers' emails the day before an opportunity is set to occur, and provides them with the relevant details about the opportunity.

Version 1.0.0

This version is the first to be production-ready and for use by the initial audience.

First Alpha Release

After approximately 6 weeks, VolunteerNexus is ready for its first Alpha release! This version will be made available to select individuals to test, and includes most of the features originally envisioned.
