PREAMBLE V1.0 should have enough depth to make an investment decision & get a more detailed execution plan from our contractors. If there is not extensive development work, then this proposal should fulfill most criteria required to make a decision for investment.

Below is both the template & an example proposal: Proposal for an Decentralized Autonomous Web (DAW) solution for "The DAO" & to generate external profits from the DAW technology that gets developed via "reserved" tokens.

V0.2 Proposal Template - EXAMPLE: DAW Proposal - based on TheDefGuy's Original Call-to-Action (C2A):

Intro: The DAO requires a web & collaboration solution, similar to: daohub.org in terms of features & scope, which has the following properties:

  • Has minimal to no counter-party threats
  • Cannot be censored
  • Has no single point of failure (SPOF)
  • Scales elastically based upon demand (similar to p2p architecture)
  • Does not rely on a single vendor
  • Is opensource
  • Has a token solution in which a portion of tokens are reserved for developers & The DAO funders
  • Problem Statement:
  • Currently the DAO web & collaboration system hosted by a generous few members on centralized web technology & hosting.

This creates numerous risks for the DAO including but not limited to:

  • Counter-party threats (Government)
  • Censoring (by curators or others)
  • Availability issues (centralized points of failure)
  • Costs to a single contractor, etc....
  • Solution:
  • Enlist a contracted entity to build a p2p web & collaboration solution, for the DAO, which can then be leveraged by others & incentivized by tokens to ensure peer availability. Similar to:

  • A traditional http entry node which links to our p2p web stack to ensure easy accessibility for new comers to The DAO.

The Offer / Value to the DAO: Enable the DAO to have a truly decentralized, autonomous (in terms of moderation, & operations), web & collaboration solution, that doesn't require our depends upon a single vendor, or traditional centralized web. We face unknown threats & risks, which would be mitigated by having an un-censorable web & collaboration solution, so we can always adapt our strategy via collaboration to marketplace & threats we face.
