This page enumerates the known working hardware configurations for 6LBR.

Embedded routers

OpenMote

The OpenMote platform with an OpenBase can be used as the 6lbr platform itself (available from release 1.4.0).

Zolertia Ethernet IoT Gateway

The Zolertia Ethernet IoT Gateway provides a 6lbr platform in a bundle, allowing active POE (power over Ethernet) support. Instructions on how to Install and configure the device are available in Zolertia's 6lbr wiki page. Instructions on how to use an existing RE-Mote or Firefly with an ENC26J80-H module are available as well. Support for the platform is already available from release 1.4.0.

The Redwire IO

The Redwire IO embedded router can be used as 6LBR, using the integrated ethernet controller

Redwire IO

To use the Redwire IO as a Border Router, follow the Redwire IO configuration documentation.

The Redwire Econotag

The Redwire Econotag can also be used as the 6lbr platform itself, with an attached ethernet chip development kit (ENC26J80-H)

Econotag and ENC28J60-H

To use the Econotag as a Border Router, follow the Econotag configuration documentation.

TI CC2538DK

The TI CC2538DK can be used as the 6lbr platform itself, with an attached Ethernet chip development kit (ENC26J80-H)

TI CC2538DK

To use the CC2538DK as a Border Router, follow the CC2538DK configuration documentation.

TI CC2650DK

The TI CC2650DK can be used as the 6lbr platform itself, with an attached Ethernet chip development kit (ENC26J80-H)

Linux hosts

Any Linux host with Ethernet and USB interfaces, coupled with a mote running the Slip-Radio Contiki application, can run 6LBR. We maintain packages for RaspberryPi and BeagleBone platforms.

RaspberryPi

The RaspberryPi (RPi) is a low-cost ARM based computer the size of a credit card. The RPi ships with a 100Mbit ethernet interface.

A RaspberryPi with Nooliberry

To get started with a RaspberryPi Border Router, follow the RaspberryPi software configuration documentation.

BeagleBone

The BeagleBone is a low-cost ARM based computer the size of a credit card. The BeagleBone ships with a 100Mbit ethernet interface.

A TelosB Mote on the BeagleBone

See the BeagleBone software configuration documentation to get started right away with your BeagleBone Border Router.

Other Linux Hosts

A generic installation procedure is described here.
