Closes #79. This replaces the deprecated environment variable configuration with the registry tool's file-based configuration.

@giteshk [1] This uses the token-source configuration to specify an external tool to provide a token, and often this is gcloud auth print-access-token, which does support Application Default Credentials. [2] That would require some additional work - I'll create an issue for that. #81
