Timeline and Response

The following is an estimated timeline for tnris.org work requests being completed:

  1. Content creator/TNRIS employee creates issue for requested work.
  2. Within 1 day or so, if an IS team member has been properly notified using the @mention capability of GitHub, a comment will be provided in the issue giving an estimated timeframe of the work being completed.
    • the timeframe provided will vary according to the current workflow of the IS team.
    • a content creator should not anticipate work being completed same day or even same week because the time will be based on current IS team priorities.
    • this requires proper project planning on the part of the content creator. requests for news articles or updates to the front page of the site for notification purposes should be planned in advance and should be submitted as an issue atleast 1 week ahead of when the content creator would like the work to be completed. it is not guaranteed to be completed by then, but there is a better chance that it will.
    • for bugs, it is likely they will be resolved more quickly.

c. for larger and more complex functional enhancement/feature requests, anticipate even a further out project planning timeframe due to more complexity and development time. - at a minimum, it is recommended to plan 1 month ahead for a new enhancement/feature request
