Welcome to the catalog_data wiki! This wiki includes some basic information and documentation regarding how the data in the Perseus catalog was created, what types of data can be found here, and how to edit the data found within this repository. It is not meant to supplant the documentation for the catalog found on the Perseus Catalog Blog but to supplement it.

That documentation includes a history of the Perseus Catalog, a description of how work identifiers are created as well as some current limitations of the data so none of that information will be repeated here.

A separate wiki is available at the catalog_pending repository that will focus on how to create new data for the Perseus catalog.
