How to contribute

We are happy if you would like to contribute. We have a bunch of open issues, please have a look and feel free to give it a try. If you have ideas or comments, we highly appreciate your input! Also, feel free to ask if you want to understand how a certain implementation works or if something is not clear to you. Simply comment on a certain issue or open a new one.

Setup

This project is built with Django Version 3.0.4. Please check if you have a Python version >= 3.6 installed.

foo@bar:~$ python --version
Python 3.7.2

Clone the repository:

foo@bar:~$ git clone [email protected]:OpenTechSchool-Leipzig/heimspiel-backend.git

Setup a virtual environment:

foo@bar:~$ python -m venv heimspiel-env

Install all requirements stored in the setup.py:

foo@bar:~$ pip install .[test]

Verify that the tests are passing:

make test

Run migrations:

foo@bar:~$ cd src/
foo@bar:~$ python manage.py migrate

Start the development server

foo@bar:~$ python manage.py runserver

Start coding :-)
