The Auction House

The Auction House is a special Trader that is automatically created by the server. It's unique in that it has a trader storage menu for all players, and each player will only be able to edit their auctions & items.

Note that the Auction House will appear the the list of Network Traders by default, but can be configured to be disabled entirely, or to only be accessible from an Auction Stand.

The Trader Screen

The Trader Screen is similar to that of an item trader, however each available auction will be displayed on the trade list. Each auction has a defined time period, and once the time runs out, the auctioned item(s) will be given to the highest bidder.

Making a Bid

Clicking on an auction on the Trader Screen will open the bidding screen. From here define the amount you want to bid and submit your bid. Note that you must have the available funds on hand in order to submit the bid. If someone out-bids you after you've made your bid, the money you submitted will be returned to you into your Auction House Storage.

Setting Up an Auction

You can create an auction of your own from the third tab in the Trader Storage Menu. From here you must place the item(s) you want to sell in the two provided item slots, define the Auctions Duration (must be at least 1 hour), and set the starting bid. Clicking the button labeled "Start Bid" will switch the Coin Value Widget to define the minimum bid difference, and clicking it again will switch back to defining the starting bid.

To submit, you simply need to click the "Create Auction" button at the top of the screen, and the items will be taken, and the Auction will be created. Once the timer on the Auction runs out, you will either receive the money from the highest bidder, or (if no bids were made) receive the items you put of for auction back.

Deleting an Auction

You can cancel an Auction by clicking on it from the Basic Trade Edit tab in the Trader Storage Menu. From here, you receive a confirmation screen and an option to either send the auctioned items to your personal storage, or simply have them placed into your inventory (or onto the floor if your inventory is full).

If an auction is cancelled after someone has made a bid, the money will be returned to the last bidder's personal storage.

If in Admin Mode, you will see all Auctions on the Basic Trade Edit tab, and can cancel another players auction. Note that items returned to storage will be sent to the auction owners storage, not yours, so if you need to confiscate an item, you should return the items to your inventory.

Accessing your Personal Storage

You can access your personal storage from the Trader Storage Menu. You can pick up items from the displayed slots, similar to an Item Traders Storage. You can also collect any money stored by clicking the button just above your inventory. All monetary earnings will be stored here, as well as any items you win an auction on, or refunds whenever you're out-bid, so be sure to check here often if you've made any bids in the Auction House.
