First QFED v3.0.0 Release Candidate

Release v3.0.0 Release Candidate for Group Testing

This is the first release candidate based on Anton Darmenov's branch feature/adarmenov/v3.0.0.rc.1. This is a refactoring of QFED v2.x, including a new I/O layer and the inclusion of VIIRS FRP; the general QFED algorithm and methodology remains unchanged. This is the result of many months of work and pre-testing by Anton. Thank you, Anton, for all the hard work.

This release, which has been merged into main, is meant for testing by the GEOS aerosol group at large in the context of GOCART 2G and recent model updates. This release are before fine tuning using the Green's function approach,.

QFED v2 Legacy Release

This is based on branch feature/adarmenov/#3-v2.5.r1 and should correspond to the last CVS release, including the SLES12 patches. This branch has never been merged into main and it will remain this way.
