MDX_Tool is a tool for inspecting and repairing Yamaha DX7 SysEx files.

In the last 30 years, I've collected a bunch of SysEx dumps (everything I could put my hands on) for all the possible synths. The story goes far in the past, before the internet, before CDs, DVDs... in the era of Atari ST and floppy disks... blah...blah...

Anyway... a guy known as donluca started a really nice action in MiniDexed discussions, about making some nice collection of voices for MiniDexed. As all of us know, you can get DX7 SysExes on every corner of the internet, but a good part of these are a pile of corrupted files etc. etc.

MDX_Tools is about identifying these corrupted files, possibly repair what can be repaired, and sort out what can't be helped. MDX_Collect is about managing a collection of voices, identified by the SHA2-256 hash of the voice parameters.
