Add elucidation for has_material_basis where domain is a function to BFO2 reference #219
Comments
This is another argument for separating 'has material basis' from 'has qualitative basis' (see discussion in #113). The material basis for the function of the screwdriver would be the screwdriver itself and the qualitative basis would include handle shape, shape of head, etc. |

The current examples in 3.7.8 are all for 'plain' dispositions. It would help to have elucidations for functions. The disposition examples involve a material entity that is causally upstream.
E.g. what is the material basis for the function of a screwdriver? Is it the screwdriver itself? Or some (all?) qualities of the screwdriver (handle shape, shape of head, etc)?
