Analyze what’s required to have Discourse within WebPlatform

Requirements

• Internal DNS details to update list of backends
• Public hostname ("discuss.webplatform.org") added to webplatform.org zone, and in Fastly
• Rework public vhosts as per Harmonize internal backends and how to expose services to the public #115 —we don’t have any free public IP addresses anymore
• Salt to install a Docker runtime within a simple Ubuntu VM, ref Harmonize internal backends and how to expose services to the public #115
• Behind Fastly
• Enforce SSL

Soon (or later?)

• Get real visitor IP, see my question about getting real visitor IP behind Varnish. Deferred to Discourse get real IP Address behind Fastly #163
• Setup like recommended, except
  • we will use our own PostgreSQL. Deferred to Create a separate PostgreSQL node so we can support multiple Discourse Docker instances #155
  • ensure we have backups to DreamObjects. Deferred to Make Discourse have automatic database backup #154
  • and use our own email server for email to message in thread conversion. Deferred to Setup a mailbox w/ POP3 access for Discourse to use #161
