Nova is great but it doesn't yet support inlining values.

The document API allows selecting, adding, replacing, and removing text. Changed document content ends up on file and may add noise to Git.

The Nova team runs a forum where they happily discuss and accept feature requests.

It's been a while I guess, but I can see inline errors are shown by the typescript extension now, so that might help (I found this whilst looking for wallaby & quokka support for nova)
