Authentication Failure after sometime for only some users

After running for a while, in some clients (browser), we start seeing thruway.error.authentication_failure.
Same machine, same app, when we login with any other users, the connection works well.
I found a similar issue here but unresolved. Could there be any memory issue related particular users as we use _thruway_eligible_authids to publish the messages (just vague guess).
I don't know what to look for tbh. Any direction would be great. I can't see anything in logs etc.
