Dear Sir:
Sorry for send this mail in github because the email I sent was drawed back.
Nowadays I study the RegESM which is a great tool in regional simulation. Some questions I should consult with you:
(1) Coupld you please send me the WAM model with coupling support?
(2) Has the non-hydrostatic stable problem solved in the recent release of RegCM model? Have you integrated the WRF model into RegESM?
Thanks in advance! These helps will help me to develop RegESM in the future, now I try to integrate unstructured-mesh model like SCHISM into RegESM.
Best Regards,

@lj-cug I am glad that you are using RegESM. It is good to know that others benefit from it. You could find the WAM source code in here. Please let me know if you have any access issue. I think the RegESM is stable enough to run in high resolution and non-hydrostatic mode. I run it couple of years ago in 3 km to analyze an upwelling event and coupled with ROMS under RegESM and that was working without any issue. The RegESM is capable to run with WRF also and you could access to the WRF code that is capable to couple under RegESM system in the here. Please use release-v3.8.1_coupling branch in there.

It is nice that you are plaining to contribute to the development of the RegESM. One minor note that I did not try to couple a model component that uses ESMF Mesh and probably you will have lots of issue with it. Since the RegESM is mainly designed to couple components that provides ESMF grids and does not have mediator component, it would be hard to make all those changes.

In the future, I am plaining to restructure entire RegESM by taking advantage of general purpose mediator CMEPS and data components CDEPS and try to construct entire modeling system around them. Since CMEPS mediator uses ESMF Mesh to represent all the model components, it would be easy to mix and match components that provides ESMF Mesh and Grids and also you could easily add other components that is compatible with ESMF/NUOPC under new version of RegESM such as WW3, MOM6 etc. Anyway, this is long term plan since I have no time to work on it at this point.

Also note that you could refer following recent papers related with the RegESM modeling system,

https://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=3364231
https://gmd.copernicus.org/articles/14/4159/2021/

I hope it helps.
