new project icon in planet not working

When we click the new project icon in planet nothing happens which should not be the case.
This button should do 3 things:-
1)clear all the blocks.
2) clean the canvas.
3)open back the main screen.

It is a design decision... it is creating a new project instance as a fork rather than as a new instance. Since we have a separate fork capability, I agree it should clear as per above.
