I'm a Lead Software Engineer at Kraken Technologies (part of Octopus Energy Group), working towards bringing greener energy to our customers, primarily through developing our smart meter products. Where possible, I contribute to open-source projects that align with this goal. My background is primarily in security, but I've been expanding my knowledge of the UK energy industry since 2020.

I formerly worked for Google in their Security & Privacy team, focused on Certificate Transparency and their general-purpose, cryptographically-verifiable, append-only ledger, Trillian. I'm currently based in Manchester, UK, but have lived in London, Cheltenham and Farnborough previously. I have an MSc in Advanced Computer Science and a BSc in Artificial Intelligence.
