Would you please evaluate if 'cited by' section information can be pulled from any of the citation management tools? OR Shall we rely on scholarly data sources like 'Google Scholar'?
We shouldn't rely solely on Citation Management Tools, as they primarily help organize references and not all offer a "cited by" feature. While Google Scholar has an extensive database, it may not cover all disciplines equally and may not always provide the most up-to-date or accurate data.
It's advisable to cross-verify citation counts using multiple sources. One approach is to begin with a citation management tool for organization and then complement it with Google Scholar. If choosing one, prioritizing Google Scholar or similar specialized databases over Citation Management Tools is a better option.
Integrating citation management tools into the nfdi-search-engine can help researchers/users manage their references and citations more efficiently.
