Make ldpath dependency optional?

qa is in the Samvera namespace, but depends on the Samvera Labs project ldpath. Since ldpath hasn't been through promotion, it is missing some of the requirements for in-community dependencies in Hyrax.

though Hyrax itself doesn't use ldpath, i'm worried about it as a transitive dependency. would it be possible to make the ldpath dependency for qa optional, or to move this functionality to an extension gem? or should we be looking at recruiting a PO for ldpath and working to promote?

There has been discussion about moving ldpath out of labs into samvera. I haven't had time to shepherd that process, but would like to see it promoted.
