There does not seem to be an interrupt in the ported code from the Arduino. Is this something that is not needed or that should be added?

I've not been near that code in years, but it did work, so I guess it has all the features it needs. It's a user space program and you can't handle interrupts directly from user space anyway. It looks like Cube:Cube() sets up a 10ms timer, and on_timeout() goes and reads the MPU.

Thank you for replying. I have gotten it to work as is (except changing the I2c as described). No interrupt is needed. I have also managed to get the processing airplane graphic to play on a Windows pc (using a tcp link for the data). I am putting together a classroom demo.
