  • components should drop from monsters
  • items should all be forgable a different number of times (by item type, maybe up to a max of 7 times for really good items)
  • if you mix a weapon/armor and a material, it should augment the weapon/armor
  • if you mix a weapon/armor and another weapon/armor, it should create a new item at about the average level of the two
  • It should cost gold to do this (more gold for higher level components or items or both)
  • this should have to happen at a location (ie, a crafting station) - the old dojo places might work well as crafting locations instead
