Starting recorder is slightly unreliable

Sometimes recorder background process(es) do not start, even if the UI status shows that recording started and is in the state that one can press Stop to end recording.

It seems that bmd-streamer and/or ffmpeg process doesn't start. If the ffmpeg process starts, then it hangs in early phase, because the output file is not written.

The "blue status line" may not show anything at all at that point (except the prefix ">" written in html).
