Proposal to Explore Adding React Native Client to Flathub

I would like to suggest that the Pixelfed team explore the possibility of adding the official React Native client to Flathub.

Rationale

While the Pixelfed React Native client is already available on platforms like F-Droid, Google Play Store, and Apple App Store, adding it to Flathub could significantly benefit GNU/Linux mobile users by providing them with an easy and unified installation experience.

Benefits for GNU/Linux Mobile Users

• Increased Accessibility: Flathub makes it simple for users on various GNU/Linux distributions, especially mobile users, to install applications without the need for complex setup.
• Unified Experience: Users can enjoy a consistent installation experience across different platforms, enhancing usability.

Next Steps

I encourage the team to look into the potential of Flathub and consider how it could benefit the Pixelfed community, particularly GNU/Linux mobile users. If there’s interest, I would be happy to assist in the process of creating a Flatpak manifest and submitting it to Flathub.
