For a given record (a place for instance), a project may choose to configure related media objects.

When a single place is loaded by the client for viewing, those related media are shown as available in the place detail view.

Upon selecting a single media object, some designs show a media viewer modal appearing, to assist the user in viewing one object, or browsing a large number of related objects.

Let's consider :

  • Using the Clover IIIF viewer component for this purpose, and in particular, given that Clover knows how to present a collection of objects from a IIIF Presentation API manifest,
  • Exposing all of a single record's related media objects as a IIIF Presentation API v3.0.0 manifest
