Feature Roadmap

Hi 👋 !

thanks for making this open source. I would like to know if there is a feature "roadmap" that you could publish and highlight for which parts you would accept code contributions?

I am currently working (internally) on a fsspec implementation for Foundry datasets and wondered if this might be on your roadmap as well - or if it make sense to contribute it to this repository.

Thanks for the issue!

We don't have a public roadmap for now, but expect more feature coverage as we continue to incubate the SDK and its backing APIs.

We're still iterating on exactly what the structure and scope of this SDK package will be. In the future we may consider adding implementations of interfaces and protocols such as fsspec, dbapi2, and pyfilesystem to this package but for the time being should live in a separate repo / package and take a dependency on this SDK.
