Introduction

I'm JC, a product designer with experience in diverse environments, including in-house teams, agencies, and entrepreneurial setups. I have always been interested in volunteering, and when I moved to the Austin area in late 2023, I decided to join Open Austin to get involved in local civic projects and connect with people.

What I know

• Primary research (surveys, interviews, usability testing)
• Information architecture (flow diagramming, wireframing)
• UI / Visual design (Figma)
• Prototyping (Figma, learning Framer)
• JIRA, Confluence, Slack, Zoom

What I want to know

I've been interested in software design that involves hardware, especially in robotics. This could involve self-driving cars, submersible devices, and even spacecraft. I would love an opportunity to design for something beyond websites and apps.
