The current version of RStudio has and plotting engine, version clash with R/4.3.1. This results in the plot window not working, but the plot is written to pdf.

plot(1,1)
Warning message:
R graphics engine version 16 is not supported by this version of RStudio. The Plots tab will be disabled until a newer version of RStudio is installed.
