Error while linking against libopenmpt

I'm getting this linker error trying to build an executable using libopenmpt:

Last successful build was in Jul 30, 2023, before the upgrade to version 0.7

Is anyone able to successfully link with the current library?

Could you provide the steps to reproduce the issue, please?

This is the GH workflow: https://github.com/MusiQt/musiqt/blob/master/.github/workflows/release.yml

Basically get the package:
https://github.com/MusiQt/musiqt/archive/refs/tags/v3.0.2.tar.gz

and build with (requires Qt6 base and multimedia):

mkdir build
cd build
cmake -G 'MSYS Makefiles' \
    -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release \
    -DQT6=ON \
    -DCMAKE_EXE_LINKER_FLAGS="-static -static-libgcc -static-libstdc++" \
    ..
cmake --build .

Unfortunately, I can not figure out how to solve the issue. You could use the clang mingw packages as workaround.

BTW, if the main goal is static linking the libopenmpt.a should be used instead of libopenmpt.dll.a.

Oh, I didn't notice that, it isn't supposed to link with the dynamic lib...
I need to dig deeper

Just realized it was actually a dynamic lib build and the -static flag should not have been there in the first place.
But unfortunately even fixing that led to the same error.

Then I tried your suggestion and the clang build worked fine!
