Setting on marking entries as read manually does not apply for shortcut

I set "Mark entries as read manually" in settings. When using the "v" shortcut to view entries, the entries are marked as read automatically. Can the shortcut "v" (and "V") honor the setting "mark manually" and just open the entry in a new tab without marking it read?

I've tested the v and V shortcut behavior with "Mark entries as read manually" settings selected.
They both work as indented. They open the link on a new tab or in the current tab without marking the entry as read.

I tested on 2.2.0 using Firefox 130.0.1and Vivaldi 6.9.3447.46 (the only chromium based browser I have). What browser do you use ?

Can you also confirm the version of Miniflux you use ?
