fix links in old worked examples?

Is your documentation update related to a problem? Please describe.
Since the documentation update (#460 ) the links in the old workshop notebooks no longer work.
We should either:

• move these old notebooks to an archive
• update the notebooks with the new links/info

More generally, this is an issue since when we update the code there is a chance that the old notebooks don't run correctly. We should work out an approach for dealing with this.
