We are using Ashlar to stitch and register cyclical images obtained from Dragonfly spinning disc confocal (by Andor). Ashlar works great but it cannot ready .ims files directly (we are using fileseries option, ims is default and only option for direct output from dragonfly) so we have to go through file conversion step (using bf convert or python to get ome-tiff or tiff files).
I was wondering if it would be possible to add .ims files option to Ashlar reader? It would save us bunch of processing time and data duplication.

Glad to hear it's working well for you! Yes, we are working on this -- we had another request for .ims support as well already. We will add full Bioformats support to the fileseries reader so any supported format can be read this way.
