Joind.in allows you to enter an address for the event. But then just uses that to do a search and then show an openstreetmap pin w/ coordinates.

It would be good if it would allow the actual event address to be saved & shown properly. Perhaps even entered/saved as a proper address in form (not a one-liner?). Right now you can see where an event is, only by zooming out a lot, instead of having easy access to know "Oh hey, that's Baltimore".

Also allowing an 'actual address' versus a 'marketing address' could be useful, and having the latter displayed in lists of events. IE: Saying that a conference is in "Dallas, TX" ... when the physical address is "Addison, TX"

Related (not sure if worth another ticket, but much smaller request) ...

I think that the default zoom level on the maps, maybe was perfect for the UK. But doesn't work well at all for most North/South America events.

In general, between 4-6 zoom levels out would be much better. (I experimented). And having less detail on that map would be great. Dunno what openstreetmap options there are there. But the current view is hyper-detailed, versus a Google Maps view that gives you the details you want, without being cluttered.
