Very high battery usage #2904

I use super productivity for studying, to track time and set time spans for the different subjects and pomodoro. Compared of my last solution (using Pomatez for pomodoro, MS TODO as todo list and Activity watch as time tracker) the battery usage is extremely high. I love this App, especialy as it combines my big needs and synchs with my phone (AWESOME!), but this is like game changing for me, who can only charge the laptop once a day. What can i do to extend the battery and can you maybe make an option to limit unecerssary background processes or add like a "battery safer" mode? Greetings |

What version of the app are you using? If you are using the windows store version, I recommend trying the setup exe instead. Hope this helps! |

Also noted, that store version eats up 1-3% of the CPU constantly. |

just the store version? In my taskmanager there are like 8 different entrys for SP and at least one is using CPU constantly. also the .exe version. |

Well, it's basically whole chromium instance, so not just timers. Can't run exe on the computer where I noticed 1-3% cpu usage, and on my home computer there are negligible numbers. |

The Microsoft store app is UWP. UWPs are usually covered by broader WDAC allow rule in enterprise environments. They are also less likely to trigger XDRs. The alternative Win32 executable we have is unsigned. |

Ah ok, if there's no other choice to get the app, then, using the Microsoft Store would be the next possible step. I was assuming you were installing on a personal computer. Thanks for clarifying.

This might be a little better with the latest release, as it fixes a case when higher CPU and battery usage was caused under specific circumstances. The issues of the MS store version likely persist though. |
